The Owner's Representative manages all aspects of a construction project on behalf of the Owner. The role can involve entitlements, design, bidding, permitting, construction and close out. The Owner's Representative keeps project Owner's out of the details of program, schedule and budget to allow the Owner to pursue other ventures.

Construction Management is focused on successful delivery of a project. The Construction Manager can start from the beginning of a project to manage schedules, costs and change order management. If a project is not meeting budget and schedule goals, a Construction Manager can be brought in to supplement the team during the project. In addition, a Construction Manager can be engaged to complete a specific phase of a project.

Forensic Engineering is the application of engineering principles to the investigation of failures or other performance problems (def. ASCE). The failure could be in the form of a structure collapse or a road which does not ride smoothly. A failure could also be financial difficulties of the contractor resulting in a surety being required to complete the project. Forensic Engineering investigates the facts of the situation and attempts to determine the cause of the failure.
